On 13 April 2023, Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino will take part in the event “Testo unico dei servizi di media audiovisivi. L'evoluzione normativa tra rischi e opportunità”, during which the volume "Testo unico dei servizi di media audiovisivi. Legislative Decree no. 208 of 8 November 2021 commented and annotated article by article”. The event aims to encourage discussion between institutions and companies in the sector on the risks and opportunities related to legislative and regulatory developments. The Professor will join the Round Table II in which “The point of view of institutions” will be analysed.

Prof. Oreste Pollicino will speak at the Conference "State competitiveness, digital trade, and cybersecurity" organised by Bocconi University, in collaboration with the DONDENA Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy and the United States Mission in Italy.

On March 2, Professor Oreste Pollicino will partecipate in the tenth congress of the Associazione Stampa Romana "Piattaforme, automazione e racconto dei fatti: il destino sindacale del giornalismo professionale". Professor Pollicino will join Nicola Zamperini, journalist, expert on digital communication, and Giovanni Del Giaccio, macroarea manager for ASR Libertà di informare, to analyze the issue of automation, AI and journalism, copyright and temerarious complaints.

On March 1st, Professor Oreste Pollicino will hold the kick-off lecture of the Jean Monnet Module "Digital Citizenship for EU", offered by the Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche of the Università degli Studi di Roma Tre and aimed at providing students with an in-depth knowledge about the main legal and political aspects – at International and European level – concerning the citizens’ online life, focusing in particular on digital rights. Professor Pollicino will focus on the issue "Digital constitutionalism from a transatlantic perspective. Reframing European citizenship in the algorithmic society". The welcome address will be given by Professor Cristiana Carletti, Professor Luca Germano and Professor Raffaele Torino, JM module Coordinator, whom we thank for the prestigious invite.

On 22 February, Professor Oreste Pollicino will parteicpate in the event organized by the Italian Data Protection Authority in Rome, at the Esperienza Europa "David Sassoli".
Professor Pollicino will join several eminent speakers to present the volume "La privacy dell'era digitale. Le relazioni dei Presidenti dell'Autorità Garante 1997-2022", edited by the President of the Authority, Professor Pasquale Stanzione, who will open the event with his institutional greeting.

On 17 February, Professor Oreste Pollicino will partecipate in the event "Valorizzazione, sicurezza dei dati e tutela della privacy negli ecosistemi digitali urbani", a conference organized by the Comune di Milano in partnership with the Università degli Studi di Firenze Law School and the Italian Data Protection Authority, with the scientific coordination by Valentina Pagnanelli, Università degli Studi di Firenze. Professor Pollicino will join the first panel of the morning session, introduced and coordinated by Fabrizio Dall’Acqua, General Secretary of the Comune di Milano. After the initial greeting by Andrea Simoncini, Head of the Università degli Studi di Firenze Law School, and the introduction by Ginevra Cerrina Feroni, Vice-President of the Italian Data Protection Authority, Pasquale Stanzione, President of the Italian Data Protection Authority, Edoardo Raffiotta, Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca, Stefano Pietropaoli, Università degli Studi di Firenze and Antonio Ballarin, International Neural Network Society, wil also join the panel, focused on the issue "rights and ethics".

On 6 February, Professor Oreste Pollicino will partecipate in the event "Non solo dati. Il Valore dei bambini e degli adolescenti nel mondo digitale", organized by Telefono Azzurro on the occasion of the Safer Internet Day, the international day established by the European Commission in order to promote a safer and more responsible use of online technology by children and young people around the world. Professor Pollicino will join several eminent speakers to discuss the major issues on children's future into the digital sphere and how children and teenagers nowadays are acitve providers of data. The event is part of a series organized by Telefono Azzurro to analyze how the development of the digital world will impact children.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the call for papers organised by the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and its CIJ - Centre for Legal Research for the International Conference "A Digital Europe for Citizens", which will count with Professor Oreste Pollicino as keynote speaker. The Conference, which will be held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto on 14 April 2023, is part of the project Jean Monnet Module "A Digital Europe for Citizens. Constitutional and Policymaking Challenges" and, structured in three panels, will focus on the EU action as regards data governance, digital markets and digital services.
